All resonance capable entities can be bested by overwhelming them, or at least forcing them to respond to defend themselves. Of course for different sorts of resonant entities of different degrees of power and spiritual stamina the amount needed to do so varies. Balãr take millions of people and hundreds of nuclear bombardments, mavõtur and the ancient syrinxians that were in their prime may have needed hundreds of individuals attacking at once.
But these ancient things, perhaps once far more powerful, have corroded significantly, I would say their resonance is "rusty" but they're made out of bronze.
